- 14.10.2012 in Soltau einladen und würde sich freuen, wenn sich ihm

Internetauftritt Version 4 ist in Planung!
Es gibt ein paar
Verzögerungen in der Umsetzung. Zum einen gibt es Probleme mit dem
Navigationsbereich, der bei jedem Lösungsversuch unter irgend einem
Smartphone-Betriebssystem nicht funktioniert oder Online-Übersetzungen
nicht unterstützt. Zum anderen ist Euer Webmaster gerade dabei eine Art
Mini-Orion aus dem Briten-Land neues Leben einzuhauchen...

Orion I in Nordamerika,
genauer in Kanada aufgetaucht... Da ich noch nicht genau weis wohin mit
dem Bericht, steht er vorerst hier
Hello Sven,
I am
very interested finding out more about my Orion. I purchased it from
someone who, unfortunately, did some heavy body modification. Mine is
missing many parts including the engine. I am considering my options
including a complete chassis change.
I have never heard of another Orion in North America and have spent time
on your website but I can not read or write german and Google translate
is not always clear.
Feel free to use the pictures, but please send me a link to anything
that is online.
To the best of my understanding my Orion had the Austin gasoline (petrol)
engine. I would be very interested to learn what other engines will
mount to that transmission.
I found the Orion on an online classified site for the area where I
live. I have a long history of restoring cars and knew the Orion was
something special because I had never seen one before.
The Orion was being sold by a mechanic because the owner had lost
interest. The previous owner had spend a lot of money making body
modifications, changing the windows the grill area and adding the fin at
the back. They also had a boat builder do work on the interior,
unfortunately while the work is nice, it is to heavy for a motor home so
it must be removed. The previous owner did this work before the Orion
was mechanically sound.
My plan is to update the power train, suspension and brakes so I can use
it when I retire (in 19 years). If I can attach a modern engine to the
transmission and change the suspension and brakes I may do that or I may
put the body onto a North American (GM or Ford) Van Chassis.
I look forward to communicating with Orion owners in Europe I would like
to learn what people have done to update the Engines, Suspensions and
Braking systems.
Now I am a high school teacher, ages 13 to 18. But when I was young I
apprenticed as an Auto-body repair man and I am a furniture builder so I
am confident about the Interior and the body I just need to decide what
to do with the mechanicals.
